TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND REACH OUT

Each couple I work with is unique. That’s why I tailor your couple therapy to meet your  specific needs. Maybe you’re struggling with trust, lack of intimacy or communication problems, for instance. As a result, there is damage to your relationship with your partner. That being said, you are not alone.  Many couples face these problems at some point. Nevertheless, you don’t want to ignore even small signs of trouble.  Small signs often have hidden issues that are bigger. For this reason, we get to the foundation level of the problem.  And this can take time. Why? Because deep feelings are often hidden. In addition, deep feelings are uncomfortable to expose. Finally, you and your partner will rebuild having understood the foundation of an issue. I will teach you how to rebuild with new relational tools. You will learn some tools all along the way.

    MY APPROACH

My practice specializes in couple therapy. With this in mind, you can think of our work together like learning a new dance. Couple therapy  that treats two individuals for their separate issues is often how many therapists approach couples.  My approach to couple therapy is to teach you how to dance beautifully together, so to speak.  For instance, how to respond to one another and each other’s needs better. How to understand why you do what you do. This is way more fun than stepping on one another’s toes, right?

    ADVICE ABOUT A THERAPIST

Will a potential therapist give you some phone time to get to know her or him? This helps you find your fit. Also, a professional therapist, who is well trained in couple therapy, will take you and your partner through this process carefully and gently.  Hopefully, your therapist will release you when you are strong. Do you really want to keep repeating behavioral cycles? And you probably do not want to return to counseling two years later for the same issue.
Call me today and I will offer you my In-Depth Relational Strengths Analysis for Couples
